Although we can’t gather in large groups this year, friars around the Province of St. John the Baptist are planning to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis in creative ways.
After the initial shock of the pandemic shutdown, our sponsored ministries began to re-imagine the future.
Twenty years ago, four friars were asked, “Are you willing to serve as missioners in the Church of Montego Bay, Jamaica?” They answered, “We are.”
“We cover six of the churches in the diocese,” says Fr. Jim Bok, in a region that is “starving for priests and religious.”
